What was your favorite thing about UCSF East Bay?

My favorite thing about East Bay was the people I worked with. From co-residents, to OR staff, ICU nurses, to the EVS workers and CT techs… Everyone contributes to your education and provides support in unpredictable ways. The people at Highland Hospital make UCSF East Bay a really special place.

What about UCSF East Bay most helps you in your career now?

The autonomy and operative experience are unique at East Bay, and gave me the confidence to go directly into practice as a General Surgeon without additional fellowship training. That happens less and less nowadays, but is not uncommon for East Bay graduates!
