The UCSF-East Bay Surgical Residency program is committed to training general surgeons to care for our diverse patient population in and out of the operating room. We take pride in providing a strong clinical experience with early hands-on and technical training. Optional research is available for those with academic aspirations, and East Bay residents match in top national fellowships in their specialty of choice. Our graduates are able to successfully practice in any environment while providing the highest levels of surgical care.
